Replace mirror glass

Some scumbag broke my driver side mirror, this is after someone ripped off my passenger side (sidewalk side, and stole half of it) a couple months ago. At least this time it looks like they passed too close with a vehicle, maybe not maliciously.

How do I replace just the glass in the mirror? Motors seem to work fine.

The original mirror is just glued to the machanism. carefully femove the broken pieces and glue a new one in. Canadian tire has replacement mirrors in all kinds of shapes and sizes so there must be a similar type of store near you.

Well it's more how I would I remove a good piece from a junkyard without breaking it.

You might be able to get a piano wire behind the glass and cut it out but I doubt it's possible without breaking it.
