Hi I was just recently given a 93 Ranger by my father in law but apparently he didn't believe in coolant
He had mentioned that the heater didn't work so i started replacing the thermostat due to the heat issues but when i took off the housing noticed that it was all COMPLETELY RUSTED so i decided to also replace it as well as the heater core and hoses (all full of rust
) im looking for opinions on weather i should change out my water pump or not. The nipple where the Bypass hose connects to the water pump shows a lot of rust, but im not sure if the interior is also rusted. If it is rusted could it re clog the heater core and cause the thermostat to stick again? or will all this new stuff not be too affected by it? TITLE: REPLACE H2O PUMP sry didnt look at spelling
