I'm pretty new here and I haven't been able to figure out what Rep power stands for. Could someone explain this to me please?

If you notice right below your avatar and personal info there are three icons. one is green or grey (green if you are online visiting the site) a balance scale, and a red border triangle with an exclamation point in it. the scale one is to give reputation. If a person gives good info, you can positively rep him and give him a little comment along with the rep. If someone gives a load of crap or is basically making an asshat of himself, you can negative rep him and give him a comment.
to see your reputation comments both positive and negative, click on your User CP link. it will have them listed from most recent on top.
The more rep power a person has that is giving the rep, the more points the recipient recieves. So it is extra special for you to recieve rep from the people who havve been here a long time and have alot of rep power.
And by the way, some rep for the good question!
