Whats the best method to remove studs holding the radius arm to the axle arm. The front end is out of a 91 ranger and is prity clean. There is a little rust on the bolts but removin the bolts is no prob its the stud I am not sure about. The reason for all this is for Duff radius arms I want on before front end gets installed.

The stud is just a double-ended bolt, it unscrews from the axlebeam the same way as the bolt.

Heat up the area with a propane torch for a bit before you go to undo them. This will help loosen the Loctite Ford uses on them during assembly.

thats what I figured but I did not Know ford used a lock tight glad I did not snap anything.THANKS for takin the time.

Well that worked grate . One of the iner bolts came lose on the bottum they seem to be pressed in do I just press a new one in or can I use a spacer and bolt inside

Umm, you don't press in a bolt.....

Threads don't like that.

Maybe you sheared the threads off the axle arm. Grind the head off your bolt if this happened and remove it from the inside. You can then file the broken edges flat and use a comparable-size nut and bolt to put it back on. Of course, the steering knuckle will need to come off for this.

If your talking about the bolts on the bottom of the axle holding on the radius arm, that is also a bolt.

The arms are off everything went good nothing sheared off. I think my last post was a bit missleading.
