does anyone know how to remove the outside mirror from the housing without breaking it. i have a set of sho-me led's i want to mount to the front side of the housing and want to hide the wires inside the door. thanks for the help.

there should be 3 bolts that bolt the mirror to the door frame youll find them when you take the door panel off

i know how to take it off the truck, i need to see if i can get the mirror/glass out the housing to run two wires thru it into the door.

probably... but you'll break the glass first... good news is that your murrays store/o'reillys store sells replacement glass for them at around 9-15 dollars a peice... break one to learn the right way of taking it off... buy a replacement, and do the other the right way.

There are 3 guide pins surrounding the main "ball and pin", if you push the glass all the way up or down you will see what I mean.
If you get a long flat tip screw driver and place it at the outer edge of the "ball and pin" and twist the screw driver it will pop out.
That's how I did mine when I installed the turn signals on the bottom.

Good luck.
