I read the instructions on this site about removing the door contact pin switch and then tried it myself. I got the door panel off and the vapor barrier pulled back. But for the life of me I cannot get my fingers on the switch connector in a way that would allow me to remove it. I can barely get my fingers on the switch at all. Actually, I'm not even sure I'm looking at the right thing as with my power locks there are two wires running that direction (although I think I'm on the right thing).
Is there an easier way to get at this switch? I tried removing the three torx screws holding the latch on (the ones that you see on the side of the door) in hopes that it would make it easier. But those screws wouldn't budge at all.
The instructions say to twist it in place 1/4 turn after disconnecting the connector. I presume I can do that with the connector on still. I'll try that next (I hadn't seen the instructions when I tried it earlier).
Anyway, any hints are appreciated.
thanks
