Removing the carb spacer

Yep, you hit the end of it with a hammer while applying rotational pressure with your hand. Old school tech but it works.
Nice! Ill see if Harbor Fart has something like that when/if I go. Money is tight with the bat virus crap. Im currently looking to get a job with the automotive field! Ive learned A LOT while working on my truck.

HF has one cheap, the bits are made out of glass and break very easily.

If those bolts are sticking, drench them in penetrating oil. They may need to soak for days.

After soaking, you may be able to make some money by tightening them a little then loosen as any movement is good at this point.

I don't know how accessable they are but if your fuel system is depressurized and you can heat the fasteners, once there hot, striking them with that little hammer could yield some movement.

My manifold fasteners are only like 17lbs so that "shouldn't" be the issue. The last stuck fasteners I successfully persuaded out, took 10 days.

Im not surprised they are made of glass. The only ones I see are 3/8 size. The sockets they have are 1/2 inch for the 14mm which is the side of the bolts

I don't know about harbor freight's version. But I couldn't live without my hand impact on motorcycle/atv work. It's the only way to get JIS screws from the 80's out of aluminum cases.

Thats exactly what I was going to suggest, the handle can be rotated to use the driver to impact on or off. Its one of those tools that come in handy once in awhile. I mainly used mine to loosen door striker bolts and seat belts. They work great when you have a steel bolt stuck in an aluminum head on a motorcycle.

If you’re taking about the EGR spacer, it left the factory with 6mm Allen bolts with a black oxide finish. If they’ve been replaced with bulk hardware, they may have welded themselves to the intake manifold.

The length of the runners in the EGR spacer will improve performance. If you have a vacuum leak from it, it’s from an open vacuum port on the tree, the power valve vacuum supply not being plugged, or the EGR valve you removed. Putting the valve back on and leaving it disconnected would be a good test of your block off setup.

UPDATE: I flushed out the carb, rebuilt it 100%, and put brand new base gaskets.

It worked, I also hooked my PCV valve onto the vacuum Christmas tree. I mainly did that to help with keeping the carb clean, and removing any vacuum leaks on the carb level. I also set my timing with the PVC not hooked up. I set it to 12. Mainly because I can read 12 better on my harmonic. I also set my idle mix screws at the same time. I then re-hooked my PCV valve back up.
I found a use for the vacuum Christmas tree! lol. Plus, no leaks in the spacer.

I'd hook the PCV hose back where it belongs, oil vapor will make the caps on the vacuum tree swell and fall off.

I had a friend say to hook it back to the carb. I dont have rubber caps. If that helps?

Any hoses attached to the tree will swell and fall off, too.

If your talking about the egr spacer aluminum under the carb it cannot be removed. There is a vacuum port that points back to the firewall that is easy to miss on the egr spacer. Sounds like you may need to get a complete intake manifold. It has been a while but if I remember correct you need to remove the egr spacer to unbolt the intake manifold? The spacer also takes a high temp gasket may be hard to find?

Felpro MS94673 pull the manifold and replace all the gaskets be sure and put a small bead of permatex#2 in the valleys between the heads and block. Sounds like you may need to helicoil the intake manifold or just find another one.
