Im sure this topic is already discussed somewhere else, but i am on very slow dial up and can't search for some reason.....

anyway, how do you remove the previous headlight lamps on a 94 ranger? I have Removed the plastic trim guard, and the grill, but can't get the existing lamps out. dont want to work any further due to the chance of breaking stuff. any help is appreciated!

There are little metal tabs located on the studs that you just pull out and the headlight will slide out. Look where the studs go through the header panel

...and if you want to take the amber corner lamp out, there is one nut to remove.... I think its a 1/2, and then you pull that lamp out. Its held in by another stud that has some kind of tension clip, so just pull kinda hard and straight towards the front of the vehicle.

Yeah, exactly what Pillen said. The metal spring clips that he's talking about are located just to the outside of where the factory stickers are at on your header panel.

You'll see one tab on the inner holes, and two on the outer holes.

Let us know if that helps you as needed, as we're always trying to make it as simplistic as possible for people asking in the future.

Thanx guys, an it was not even me asking....hahaha BUT, I am just gettin' ready to put a new set in my 94 an was wondering what/how much trouble it was. Here's my answer in the first thread in this folder, talk about luck.

Thanx Again Guys

Toolman, we're going to have to meet up sometime this summer. Ever been to Iberia, MO?

Also, don't you just love how the last sentence in my post above yours played out so nicely?

Can't say as I have...... I am at the very west end of the lake at Warsaw, right below Truman dam. Where the river/lake goes under 65 hwy south, just outside of town, I am within a 1/2 mile or less of there.

I didn't know what I was doing when I replaced mine and it was a pain. Those long screw adjuster things messed me up bad.

There's an all ranger salvage yard down in Iberia. I went there back in '08 or '09 and picked up a bed load of stuff for our rangers. I don't know how close it is to you, but it's worth the trip if you're looking for a place that has nothing but ranger parts.

You can aim headlights like nobodies business now, right? Hahaha!

173 from where I'm at to Iberia. I don't know when, but I'm planning on making it back up there this summer.
