My '94 Ranger has those damned yellowed headlight covers, resulting is dimmed headlights. Do I have to take off the entire grill and turn signal covers, or what ?? I can't seem to figure it out.

I was able to polish the fog and yellowing out of the headlight covers on my 93. Any number of polishes will work, I used Brasso.

I also polished up my headlights to the point you'd never know they were original.

I used a metal polish product meant for motor cycles. Its called Autosol. worked great. Don't use a buffer. elbow grease only.

I'm under the impression that the cover itself needs to be taken off, in order to polish the inside, and I can't seem to figure it out. I sure don't want to crack the damn thing. Is this the case ??

I just did a portion of the outside of one, and I don't see any difference.

Shouldn't need to remove anything.

Just finished up, and it looks somewhat better. I dunno, maybe I'm expecting too much.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice.
Sure glad I found this site, it ROCKS !! :D

you shouldnt need to take it out. it may just take awhile to polish the yellow out. i used mothers chrome polish and after awhile i got my headlights looking like new.

It took maybe three or four polishing sessions before it really looked good.
