Hey guys I have a 96 ford ranger that I took the airbag out of cause I off road the truck a lot and dont want it to go off in my face. Now that I took the airbag out my cruise control doesnt work. I know I need the airbag module for the crusie to work but is there anyway I can get an airbag module delete or trick the module to thinking there is an airbag there so I can have cruise? Any advice would be great appreciated. Thanks

You may have busted the clock spring.

Sounds like a bad clock. The module shouldn't care about the bag itself being there for the cruise to work. Also a better way to disable the airbags than removing the bad itself would be to disable the sensors. Try putting the bag back in, if the CC works then unplug a crash sensor and see what happens.
