so how hard is this with a b2? {for my donor}what has to be unhooked? all i can think of is engine wiring harness and steering arm, once i get that unhooked im gonna lift the cab jus above the motor a bit enough to clear it then strap the cab to the current b2 and give her shit in 4lo:icon_twisted:

exactly. not worried about breaking anything, already beat the shit out of her and made the core support look like a V shape, and the gas tank fell out of the 89{which i was beating the donor with} so i hooked up the tank right there and i had to grind the bumper in half to get her apart from theold one

bob the master off unless the brakes are already opened up...

shred it

and ill grind the body mounts off, and this thread could very possibly end up with me doing something very stupid on purpose but will in the act something bad will happen but it will all be caught on video so my fellow trs'ers can watch how i die

I'd be taking any parts that are saveable off of that other B2 first, I mean if the body's shot it's shot, have fun with it, but keep anything that hasn't been destroyed on that truck that will probabally be destroyed on your current one.

Ben

well the only good thing on the b2 is....ummmm......the body i sshot, chassis is shot, tires are only 185s, axles are gone, motor has many peices that are missing cause the current one need them.. oh and the whole point of taking the body off is cause i wanna take trans out and she is sagged so low as i cant even fit under her anymore and im only 5'6 and 125lbs....and this is gonna be fun

there is a problem with the trans that i want from the donor tho..wen she is in neutral..shes ok..but wen u put it in gear an press clutch the clutch isnt engaging, any ideas? thanks

To get the body off you're gonna have body mounts, steering column, wiring of all sorts, ground wires, gas tank filler neck. Dude, why. How many things (of any nature) have you destroyed?

That sounds like a clutch hydraulics problem rather than the trans itself. And there are much better and easier ways to remove a trans even if the suspension is all sagged out...jack it up real high and put it on some railroad ties, or blocks, or whatever. If you're taking the body off just to remove the trans you're gonna have a big pile of shit in your yard that is going to be hard to clean up.

yea the body mounts will be cut off, and ive destroyed...hm.....many things...

i jus like the laugh at the end

and yea hooking up a gas tank on a b2 is a pain tryin to sit up between the driveshaft/chassis rail and holding the gas tank up with 1/4 tank of gass all at the same tiem and it was thunder and lightning with a shit load of rain when i had to cut the bumper off to detach the 2 broncs and when i hooked up the tank, tho it took mea couple hours for the tank

yea ill bleed the clutch and while im at it i may change the slave cylinder and the clutch itself if its worn any, and yea im probably gonna take off the cab, it wont be in the way cause my garden is basically the woods anyways lol and shes right out back so not much affect

OK speaking from personal experience, leaving a bunch of junk cars around your house is a BAD thing at your age. Trust me your parents or who ever you're living with will get all butt hurt about them eventually and then you will be responsible for moving them. Make it easy on yourself later.
