so with the help of a 12 pack of black&tan and an oak tree, i totally fudged up my passenger door (08 ranger sport.) the real problem is that i want to replace the door but cant get it off. you see the door will not open, and with it closed i dont even know where to start.

:icon_confused:

any help or advice would be greatly ap:icon_confused:preciated

Have somebody pull the handle, while you give it both boots from the inside.

Then get a new door panel...

take out the seat and see if you can remove the doorpanel..... you might be able to pound the door back out enough to get it out of a bind to get it open..... or try above suggestion after you get the door panel off

I've got the panel off, but the door isn't in much of a bind. i actually think the lock is stuck in the locked position "yes I've tried to unstuck it" i have entertained the two boot technique. i think it may be time for a little me on ford violence.

If you're replacing it anyway, take the sawzall to it. Just don't cut the jamb.

i like where your heads at...sawzall sounds good, cause i been thinking that if the door latch is stuck shut and i go to kicking on it i could mess up something i don't plan to replace
