Information on the cause I can disclose tomorrow =p but for now I can say it was a drunk driver and the tractor saved their lives from hitting an electrical pole and having our transformer land on their cab.

My dad was the one that broke the window on the drivers side to get the driver and passenger out.

Hopefully insurance pays more than it's worth.

Back to the Future style!

Wish that was funny, the guys almost died, they were only like 21 or 22.

Both showed up at different times after getting out of the hospital to apologize and see what happened.

Whoa. Thing got hit hard!

Unsure how it works, but their insurance might cover the tractor. Otherwise you'd have to sue them personally. Ask them to cover the cost first and see what response you get. Also it may not be worth your time trying to get blood from a stone.

It doesn't really look that bad from the pics.

Get some new bolts for the top cover, fenders, rear tube and maybe a tire and three point hitch and it should be good to go again.

Is that a David Brown or what is it? It might be hard to get parts for though...

Personally if someone hit one of my tractors after driving drunk I would be busting out their windows to kill them...

the bolts were ripped out of it, the 3-point was bent upward, and part of the transmission is still on the gearbox, it needs weld work. Dad said we will do something with it, but not right now, and most likely not be the way it was before the crash.

There was also a gear in the tranny that had a side of it sheered off

Ewwww, that puts it in a different light.

If it pulled the bolts out of the case... that ain't cool for your three point. I just figured it sheared them.

What kind is it?

I would say it is a total then... their insurance should pay you for it though.

he hit it with his truck, his car insurance will pay for it
if they don't, sue his insurance.

huh, that truck is a dodge.

looks like he didn't, eh?
