Reman Napa 4.0 Rear Main Seal Question

I have a reman Napa 4.0 that just came in. There was an *uninstalled* rear main seal in the gasket pack included with the engine. The photo shows the rear crank of the reman engine. Can someone with experience with these engines tell me: 1) is that a rear main seal already installed in the picture? 2) if that is a rear main seal already in there, does the depth look right?

I looks like a rear main seal is installed...

Maybe it's a bad picture... but it appears like it's installed crooked.

Also... if installing it in front of a manual transmission... don't forget the pilot bearing.
