Relocating Oil Pan Drain Plug

2 options. easy way as long as the drain plug isn't hitting anything leave it there and but a drain plug kit from jegs, summit or wherever and be done. Or cut the old one out, weld it shut then weld a new one in elsewhere.

I used a tranny drain plug kit from a partshouse ($4), liberally applied a MFH to the old plug to countersink it slightly in to the pan so that it WOULD clear the Xmember (remember to REtighten the plug, in case it tries to loosen. I also aplied RED Loc-tite to it). I then used a ballpeen hammer as the punch and hit it with another hammer until I had a small bump in the bottom of the pan, on the Pass. side of the sump. I then simply installed the drainplug kit and called it a day.
