While doing some ebay searching I came across some new seats which my truck needs badly (drivers lumber is actually broken, bought it that way)

I want to try and snap these up, especially since they're sorta local. Only problem is this one part in the description which I'm not sure is correct:

THEY WILL FIT:
98-05 RANGER REGULAR CAB
98-05 MAZDA B3000 AND B4000 REGULAR CAB
WILL NOT FIT EXTENDED CAB

Anybody know if thats true or not? I thought they would all just bolt in no problem? From the photo's I can't see a difference other than these don't have rear pockets...

Why would they fit a regular but not extended??

I asked the seller and got this response back....

bolts wont line up....tracks are different

Just swap the tracks, its 4 bolts per seat. The floor pans have a different profile between regular and extended cabs.

So just use the tracks out of my current truck on the new seats and it should all bolt up fine right?

If you have buckets or 60/40's now it should be fine. If you don't you will need the tracks (from a similar year Ranger) You may have to tap the threads in some holes on the seats but it is still pretty painless.

Ahhhh.... yeah I currently have a center console because my 99 XLT is a 5spd...

Thanx, but that just seems like too much work... I'm looking for a bolt in solution.....

Now I'm on the fence about getting these or waiting till I find true buckets from around the same year.... hmmmm.....

Some of the newer seats I have swapped have the tracks welded to the seat bases. It was a set of buckets from an 04 that I ran into this issues with.

Where were these seats located and are they still available? I would like to replace my faded seats and these look to be in great shape.

i dont know if it pertains to this, but i just over torqued my bolt for mountaineer seats to make it fit as bolt holes through seat mounts were 2 diff sizes. I used the heavy duty ranger bolts and basically made new bolt holes.
