I was wondering if anyone has refurbished any of their stock rims but mainly the ones in the title?

I've got them on my truck and they look OK from a distance but they need to be refinished.

My plan is to take them down to the metal and prime and paint. Nothing out of the ordinary, I just dont know if its "worth" it...

If anyone has done this, Is there some kind of clearcoat that I can use to help protect them?

My truck is blue and I'm thinking of going black...It might look odd though since everything else is chrome. silver might be best......What do you think? Maybe black and silver?

I refinished a set of stock steelies from an 85 ranger and they turned out awesome. I like the classic style wheels. I painted mine silver and black in the spots that were concave.

my vote goes for paining them body color and adding the little chrome caps that go with those wheels. maybe add the chrome trim rings as well

Thanks for all of your input.

Well, this is really making me want to keep these old stockers!

I've heard of the chrome rings. Anyone know of where you can get those? I checked out LMC and some other things. No luck.

Thinking maybe grey with those rings now. I think its safe to say the black would not look right?

Oh...and those little 215's are being replaced with A/T 30x9.50" 's very soon!

Thanks man, Craigslist on Christmas eve!

Its not as clean now..it has a toolbox on the back that looks great but the fenders are all wrinkled. When they painted it (before I bought it) they used bondo and somekind of odd wrap. Once it got warm out, all hell starting breaking loose. I knew they were back when I bought the truck because I put a magnet on the fenders. The magnet fell off in quite a number of spots...

Oh well..It'll fixed right in due time. Been a great truck!
