How much does it cost (on average) to have your speedometer recalibrated for larger tires?

You can do it yourself on a 93 by changing gears.

I'm not all that good with gears and would do more harm than good.

It is just a case of swapping the small drive gears for the speedo cable. You would use the formula to determine which gear ratio you need. A dealer should be able to do it. I don't know what they would charge.
