Rebuiding My 2.3, Gonna Add a Little Pep To It

Plus a turbo under the hood looks that much sicker!!!!

yea i see what your saying i think ima try to just get by for a while with it like it is and save up some money and try to get a 2.3t motor and swap it in and use my old for parts and stuff.

yeah, it requires some saving... I got my engine for $600 I think, and had another $400 in other little stuff by the time I was done... but I don't like adding it all up so I don't :)

i saw a 2.3t engine on ebay for 1500 buy it now looked pretty clean and it had 130k miles...but that seems like a pretty steep price hopefully i dont have to pay that much

well im not gonna rebuild the engine now...im gonna run it and try to save for a complete 2.3turbo engine, found out what was making that bad noise, the noise that made my 2.3 sound like a little diesel, it was the crankshaft pulley, the keyway got wallowed out and messed the key up and the keyway on the pulley got all buggered up, 35 dollars later i got a new pulley, bolt and washer, key, crank gear for timing belt from a junkyard, and with a little bit of JB weld and silicone and some super tightening of the crank pulley bolt were good to go, no noise now, hopefully it stays that way.
