Rear view mirror interior size

What size interior rear view mirror was used form Ford for the 1988 Bronco II ? I see 8", 10", 12" replacements available. I bought an 8" from Autozone and it is designed poorly because it wiggles up and down, and vibrates at certain speeds. Has anyone used a brand that works good ? Thanks.

The one that is in my truck right now is an aftermarket unit, but it came to me already in a parts truck.

I think it might be from CIPA, but I am not sure.


If you want to get a little adventurous it isn't hard to get an auto dimming unit from an Explorer or F-150 and put in. Only takes 3 wires to make it work since all the dimming functions happen in the mirror.

x2 on the Auto dim mirror. Mirror also has auto on/off feature if you want to tackle that as well, takes some time and troubleshooting, but is nice once it's hooked up. I did for my 94 Mazda. I have a diagram on how i did it and was going to do a write-up, but i haven't had the time and i don't remember where I put the paper with the diagram on it.
