Today I noticed that the rear of the truck was jumping around more than normal. I looked underneath and the passenger side upper shock mount had snapped meaning the bracket not just the stud. I am wondering if there is a replacement part for this or if it is a part thats is going to have to be fabricated?

If it snapped off flush I would just drill it through and buy a universal shock mount.

If anything else, check w/ ford and see if they have the mount in stock, or visit your local salvage yard......

Same thing happened to me, just on the driverside though. and to answer ur question your question Ford does not make a replacement bracket for our generation. But they do however make a replacement one for 1980's F-150's, the holes dont line up so u will have to drill two new holes in ur frame and stack washers underneath the bottom hole to get the same angle as the otherside. If ur interested i can post some pics. its not alot of work, and it seems to be holding up really well. just my two cents

just get one for a gen 1 or 2 ranger it has the same bolt pattern thats what i did

cant you just pound them out like the ones on the radius arms?

OHmazda4x4 it would be much appreciated if you could post some pics of the fix. I am still new to the whole backyard fixes.

I just changed one on a 2000 that rusted in half. I cut one aff another frame (cut the rivets) and then bolted it on...just like new, only older!

Heres some links to the photos of my fix. Its kinda hard to tell what i exactly did because i painted everything up afterwards. But u get the idea. If u decide to do this let me know i still have the Ford part number, to make your search easier. What u cant really see in the pictures very well is the amount of washers stacked underneath the bottom hole, my guess is about 3/8in or 1/2in. i just stacked washers until the stud had the same downward angle as the otherside.
