I am trying to do a 1-piece rear driveshaft swap on my 1988 Ranger Supercab 4x4. I am running onto the problem of the 2001 driveshaft I purchased not only has bigger u-joints, but takes a bigger flange for the back of my T-case. I am hoping that someone out there might have either a larger flange for my case and/or the smaller flange for the driveshaft from a 98-00(?). I have already decided instead of removing or relocating the stock carrier bearing crossmember I am going to cut it and install a driveshaft loop. I am planning on installing an 8.8 rear sooner than later, but will still need to solve the T-case dilemma I am in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Run a conversion joint.

A joint that adapts different trunion and cap dimensions for one series of joint to another.

if i remember correctly its a 1310 to 1330 conversion joint...picked it up at NAPA and used the flange off the stock short shaft....

The stock u-joints on my truck are smaller than a 1310. They are considered a spicer 1210. The caps are the same size, but the cross size is much shorter. I would like to find someone with either a 1310 u-joint part to bolt onto my 2.5 inch bolt pattern or the 3 inch bolt pattern flange for my transfer case. Thank you for all help.

honestly didn't know you had a 1210......

just goto a junkyard and find a 2 piece shaft from a 94+ and get the 1310 yoke flange and do the u-joint conversion....

if you were closer i would give ya one of my old ones....( but then your sig doesn't show ya location so i take it you are far away...)

I had a machine shop drill and tap the smaller bolt pattern into the pinion flange on my 8.8, maybe your flange is big enough you could go the other way?
