My 93 Ranger was not equipped with a rear swaybar. But about two weeks ago, I was out at the local wrecking yard,
FM600 Wrecking Yard and I saw a Ranger Splash with a rear sway bar.
I went back yesterday with a friend of mine and the Splash was gone
, bummer.
Just for fun we drove down to the crusher and there it was. It was number two in line.
The front coil springs were already gone but the rear swaybar was still there. And they let us go ahead and remove the
swaybar, really kool people.
My Ranger (no swaybar)
The driver side link is the only real problem, its nut cannot be accessed from the bottom. The gas tank is in the way.
But if you remove the bed, then its no problem.
The swaybar install was really pretty easy
And well worth the time, its hard to believe that something so simple can make such a big difference in the way the truck handles.
I love it.
Now I just need to track down a set of Splash coil springs
