I've looked around, but can't seem to find an answer to my question. I am trying to find out what shocks to use and how much travel I can obtain with deaver springs and flipped shackle setup. Is it possible to get a good amount of travel using the stock shock mounts and not having a becage? So basically, i need to know what shocks to use without a bedcage and if the stock shackles can be flipped for use with the deavers. Thanks...

umm. what you could do is when you get the springs..install only the main leafs, bottom the truck out to the bump stops. Then measure the between the mounting points on the frame and on the axle..this will tell you the max length eye to eye shock you can use. Try and find something close, just dont go longer because you will be hammering on the shock when you bottom out.

Deavers and flipped shackles should net 14"-15" of travel with a 14" shock and bed cage. Without the proper shocks you will be limited by the travel of the shock that will fit under the bed. Dixon has a cantilever setup that will allow you to run a long travel shock without a traditional bed cage. You may want to look at that option if saving your bed is important and you have the money to spend.

Alright. Thanks for the help. I'll take a look at it.

that setup is not for me if your conserend that much with bed space get a bigger truck there are plenty of dezigns that still alow you to use 80% of your bed , with your shocks set up at a 1:1 ratio with you axle movment you should be getting the same amount of travel as your shock
