The truck i recently bought has a sliding rear window with no latch or plastic piece on the window just the glass and they are about inch and a half to 2 inches from meeting in the middle. I am going to the local junk yard some time this week my question is how does the plastic strips fit on the window? are they just glued on or tension screws? Thanks

This for the '91 in your profile?

The panes have aluminum strips with a weatherstrip in the groove glued on the edges where they meet. The latch then screws onto the middle portion of the strips.

There's a pic of the window (with a '95-'97 style latch) on this page:

Yes it was for the ranger in my profile, thank you for your response...went to the yard yesterday and was able to pull the aluminum pieces i needed couldn't find any usable clips but it seem to be a common broken part so i will just buy a new one at the parts store
