rear shock replacement

I need to replace my rear shocks. I would like to have a bit of lift with the new ones. Can any one recommend a shock to lift about 1-2" . This is for a
2wd 86 ranger.I dont haul anything in my truck to speak of I just want the rear a bit higher and to stay there rather than bounce around when I hit a bump. This truck is stock front to back. Thanks

Shocks don't lift. You would need different leaf springs, a block or longer shackles.

I know what shocks do! But, coil over shocks DO lift and do a decent job of holding weight . Just wanting what brand works best for the ranger. Thats all

Those seem like they would make the back end pretty stiff

And will put a lot of strain on the upper shock mounts, which already have a tendency of cracking the frame where the rivets go through.

apparently you don't know what shocks do because they don't lift. believe what you want

I have a set of coil over shocks on the rear of my TBird . Before I innstalled them the rear was sagging and my tires were rubbing. After I installed the shocks it LIFTED the rear high enough to stop the rubbing. You believe what you want yourself! %^$#@@@#
