I need your opinion on the rear shackles..

Is this bending normal?

Im not sure what i did wrong, I was thinking of putting more washers in where the green line is.. something isnt right here.

K, ill add a couple and see how it goes- wasnt sure there was a different size, as the shackle came as one assembly?

All that grade 8 hardware and I didnt notice the mistake till after it was tight :annoyed:

It's completely normal. I've got a brand new set of rear shackles and hangers (genuine ford parts) and they have the same gap. Suck the bolt up, call it a day.

Ah, its not that big a deal but its gonna drive me nuts if i dont get it done perfect.. mine were from ford too so thats kinda a let-down. But hey, already have the washers might as well give it a shot.

Another thing I found as I was tearing apart the truck was I only had 3/4 diff. flange bolts!!

the name "Stumpy" has all ready been taken lol its what we named my brothers bronco II because he always high centered on stumps. his user name is Stumpy on here if you want to check out the bronco

Dang thats a nice looking Bronco! He sold it for a CAR?? Say whaaa.. :icon_confused:

Haha but ya, I can find a new name easy. Stumpy is already out there somewhere. Hope shes in good hands!
