Rear sagging a bit but the shocks are fine

Made vid and noticed a pretty substantial rear lean. Was on a small incline but it shouldn’t be doing it that much. What do you all think. Did shocks in the front and rears were inspected and they said they are in good shape. Used mid-grade Monroe shocks up front, some no name ones in the rear. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Not trying to spam for views or anything, honestly looking for help.

The shocks are primarily to dampen movements of the suspension. Not to position or carry weight. The springs are what you need to be thinking about. Are they in good condition? Still arched properly? No broken leaves? Did someone install shorter rear spring shackles? Are the spring hangars in good condition and firmly attached to the frame? Is the frame in good condition where the spring hangars are attached? Some Rangers come with a small block (around 2” tall) installed between the spring and axle. Maybe someone removed them.

All good points mate. I’ll get a mechanic I know to look at it. Combat vet so I like to throw him some business when I can.

What Eric said...

I'm on my phone and can't see email details in you video. It's also possible someone did a small lift on the front. That's kind of what it looks like to me. Maybe they are planning to do that and never got around to it. Maybe they liked that inverse rake look.

I think getting someone mechanically inclined and familiar with trucks to look at it is a good idea.

It’s easy to get that look when the rear leafs wear out. A lot of heavy hauling or towing will do that to the stock springs.

I had the same issue and swapped out my worn out OEM springs for a new set with an extra spring. Fixed me right up.

I bought a set with one extra spring per side because I do a lot of hauling.

I have slow ass internet so I don't watch many videos... but what they said... the cheapest easiest way to fix a little rear sag assuming the springs aren't broken is just to install some "chevy lowering shackles" since they will lift a Ranger 1-2" or thereabouts (they usually have a few bolt holes on the leaf spring side with options)

Is that a RWD "Edge" with torsion bars cranked up?
