Rear main or Oil Pan?

'02 4.0 FMS leak?

I've read the whole thread and now I have a couple ideas of things to do.
My questions:
Can I use the blue lens on my maglite to see ANY dye, or only special dyes?
I bought some dye at oreilly and Popular mechanics says you can see it with a blue lens.
How big a job is it for a kid in a garage to pull the engine out of this ranger?

What's the easiest way to "clean" the PCV system?
When I go fast with the A/C on, the cold air doesn't stay cold, and the air doesn't blow as much until I settle down a little. Is cleaning the PCV system worth a try in my case?

I can SEE oil coming from the FMS, and nothing above it. I'm not losing any oil on the dipstick, so the amount is obviously small.

The AC kicking off under aggressive throttling is automatic to free up horsepower, not a problem.

Unless you're really, really bored, dont replace the rear main seal just because its leaking a little bit of oil. Damn near every car on the road has a combination of leaking main seals and oil pan gaskets, unless its really dripping and you're losing a lot of oil, I wouldnt mess with it. Too much work for that amount of leakage.

Please make your own thread and post what you are up to. What is wrong with your ride, and what are you thinking od doing about it?
