Wasnt really sure where to post this .. I guess because its really engine related this will work .. Anyway ...
I have a 92 Ranger 4.0l 4x4 auto.
I have it in the shop getting the tranny rebuilt. "We can add this part and see... " ... just rebuild the damn thing.
While its in, to me, it makes sense to look at the transfer case, the oil pan gasket and the rear main seal. Might be pricey but much less if I do it all now rather than pay multiple times for a tranny drop.
If the oil pan gasket and rear main seal is leaking I want them to replace them.
My question is .. is the oil pan a simple job, no engine raise, to do if the tranny is out ? Is there still plenty of room to get it out with the tranny remove or is the engine lift still required.
Thanks
Regards
Chris
