On my driver's side rear leaf spring snapped and needs replaced. Should i replace leaf springs on both sides? What other hardware.. brackets shackles, bushings, etc should I get as well?

IMO.. New springs, New shackles, and grease-able bolts to hold it all together. New U bolts too.

What were you doing to snap a leaf??? I'd definitely replace both. It'd make for an odd ride to only do one. I'd replace everything between the axle and hangers, including bolts.

I would do the whole works - springs, shackles, bushings, u-bolts. Greasable bolts would be great, if you have the money for them.

Sounds like a good video.

Nothing but regular driving tbh, 125k on it. She just went. I have heard that a lot of Rangers eventually have the middle leaf snap eventually.

Breaking leafs isn't super common.. but not unheard of. 125k IS super early though..

I had the middle leaf on my 94 go at about 198K. The local shop replaced just that one leaf. But recently, at about 214K, I did what the guys here are recommending and replaced the entire package sans the grease bolts.

I agree, do it all if you can.

/Shrug -- SHIT happens i guess, i'm definitely not out here pulling any whistlin diesel shenanegins

Crappy parts do happen. I traded in my '21 partly due to a bad center bearing after 38k miles.. thing shoulda lasted the lifetime of the truck.

At least new leafs are readily available.. and not indefinitely back-ordered lol.

Do they make kits that come with everything I'd need?

I would guess some places like AutoZone would sell "related hardware." Not necessarity a complete kit as I think there would be too many variations?

I find that kits in general are overpriced and low tier brands. What I do is take pictures of the system that I'm replacing and match it up to rockauto. Their filters are 90% accurate, but they occasionally have a part listed as RWD that is not applicable. For example I took a picture of all the steering parts and tierods for my ram. I got everything I needed and left out the damper and a drag link that RA said goes on my truck.

Is this work that your going to be performing yourself? Or paying to have done?

Seems like most garages nowadays don't want to install parts provided by the customer.. so if this is work your going to pay to have done.. make sure they'll be willing to use your parts before you buy any.

 The fact that you know about Whistlin Diesel's "shenanegins", and that you would go there for an example, makes me question the validity of that statement.
