Rear Hatch Question

I know that the 84-85 B2's had the rear hatch with the opening window. I have a 90 with the solid glass and would really like to swap my hatch. Was there anything wrong with the opening glass ones? It seems like a great option, why would they stop offering that?

Thanks,

Jeff

Jeff, I have several dealers handout brochures. In the 86 it was referred to as "flip up liftgate window" an option. In the 89 brochure it was listed as "flip-open rear window" also an option. There was no mention of it in the 90 paperwork. I guess very few people ordered it. I think it would be a handy feature. If you can find a used hatch with the opening window, you could always install it on your B2.

The only real difference was that the ones with the opening window didn't have a wiper or rear defroster.

Thanks

Thanks for the info, I kinda assumed it would work fine on mine. I think i would rather have the opening window over rear defrost and wiper. I haven't used that wiper yet, haha.
