My 86 XLT DESPERATELY needs a new rear window seal, it’s currently sliding glass, the outer seal is done.
Is this urethaned in place with just a facia trim, or is it a genuine window gasket?

I reckon the answer will tell me the source for a new one.

thanks guys and gals.

dang... lets leave this one... I will delete the other.

Okay, I have the answer!!!

The sliding glass rear window for the 86 is a bolt in with a non hardening rubberized butyl sealant, and the solid glass can be a bolt in also, OR, held in with a rubber seal.

thanks 😎😎

Do you have an extended cab or a single cab? All the single cabs had a rubber gasket regardless of what type of window. Extended cabs had bolt in windows with a seal around the glass on the inside and another rubber seal on the outside.
