I have a 2000 4x4 IFS Ranger with an automatic transmission. I am looking to upgrade my rear end to a 4.10 set from my 3.73. My question is, wil i have to change anything in the front end? or will this work just fine?

whatever gear ratio is in the back, you must change the front to as well

easiest way is to find a wrecked Explorer 4wd with 4:10 ratio and swap both the front dif and rear axle....that way you have rear discs and stronger 31 spline axles in the rear

only modification is to have SOA perches welded on to the rear axle :icon_thumby:
