rear bumper

i have a 96 ranger with a 2.3l engine i am the third owner everything works except the temp gauge only comes up not even a third but the heater blows nice and hot and it needs a windshield,but the reason i called in was to find out what years will interchange the rear bumper. the po tried to tow 4or 5ooo lbs of lumber with it and the trailer came loose and tore up the rear bumper they then proceeded to tie the trailer back on with bailing wire,needless to say the bumper looks like a pretzel any help would be appriated. marry christmas and god bless

Anything '93 on up should work fine. Newer (01+) bumpers might look a lot different, but just go browsing in a local salvage yard for what you see and like.

98+ rangers have rounder style rear bumpers.

thanks for the info i got one off a 98 at a local wrecking yard. while i was there i also got a 5 spd tranny out of an 88 because my front bearing went t.u out by moses lake about 200 miles from home the tranny also had a brand new throw out bearing score brought it home and two hours later back on the road again next change will be a one piece drive line.
