Does any one know of a site where I can get simple but complete step-by-step instructions for replacing my rear brakes. Pictures would be great as I'm not very experianced in these things. Just broke enough to force me to try it on my own.
Thanks all

pick up a Chilton or Haynes manual for your truck. you can find it at auto zone or advanced auto. it will explain how to do it and you will have it for the next time you need to do some maintenance.

Thanks but both seem to be pretty damn useless when it comes to actual instructions with decent illustrations. At least for what I want to do

Example: Parking brake cable installation, adjustment etc. I could go on but you get the idea.
The best thing I have found for most problem solving is these forums

Its really pretty easy. You might want to go to like Oriellys and get the tool for the hold down spring. But just study it a bit, take a picture of bot hsides if you want. I would take both wheels and drums off but no more. Only do one side at a time so you can use the other to compare. pay attention to which springs go where so you can put them back the same. Just switch the hardware to the new shoes and reinstall. When you put it back together it would probalby be best to tighten the adjuster all the way in if you can, if not go buy new ones. That will make it easy to get the drums on. Then to adjust them back out just back up and hit the breaks a few times.
