rear brake line options?

I have an 86 ranger and i wanted to know if there was an upgrade for the rear hard lines i have already broken one i don't want to do it again.:stop:

I have seen ss bradded lines from james duff and super lift, what is your opinion?

All opinions appreciated :dntknw:
 
now how did you mess up a rear hardline?...soft line to short, snag it on something?

Im still not sure if i snagged it on something or if it was hit by my spare under the bed but i removed the spare and i hope to not do that again. you take your brakes for granted until there gone:icon_surprised:
 
Anyone here replaced there brake lines?

You can get brake lines with special coating on them, Like a black anti-rust coating. Don't know how the rust is by you, but that's all I ever put in my me. If the rust ain't that bad by you it would seem worthless.
Also I've seen in LMC that they offer OEM Coil Wrapped hard lines. But they are way over priced.

Just put regular brake line in there. You'll be fine
 
Use the black coated regular line from auto zone. It works fine. Cheap and easy to bend by hand.
 
Braided line is an improvement over the rubber line used between the
frame and the axle, partly because the typical stainless braid over teflon
expands less when pressure is applied, and the rest because teflon and
stainless steel don't deteriorate the way rubber does.

However braided line is less than ideal for replacing the rigid hard lines.
Because the braided lines while stiffer under pressure application than
the rubber soft line is (unsuprisingly) more prone to expansion than rigid metal line.

As I was doing a complete mechanical restoration of my truck last
year I replaced every inch of hardline on my truck, Except the tubes on the axle,
with 3/16" stainless steel hardline (having metal lines rust out is "annoying")

I didn't replace the rigid lines for several reasons;
first I had two sets of NEW factory Ford pre-bent lines
for my 8.8" axle.
Second I'm planning on switching to an Explorer axle (31-spline!)
and third I was running out of 3/16" stainless steel rigid line.
