I have a 89 STX 2.9 5speed 4x4. When i bought the truck my parking break light was on as well as my rear ABS light. trouble shooting the parking break light i found the wire pulled off the parking break mechanism by the pedal, which confused me... hooked it up and the parking break light is still lit.

as far as the rear ABS light, i have done some reading how you can pull a wire off of the rear end to count the numer of times it blinks... or something like that... but im just confused as hell....

Does anyone know the procedure for this to help me clear it up?

Thanks...

On the bottom of your brake Master Cylinder is a plug (should have two wires).
Disconnect it.

If Brake light goes out, your magnetic brake fluid level float switch is "saying" that your brake fluid level is low and THAT disables ABS as well.
