My 96 ford ranger 4.0 is having a fit, it ran pretty good before but idle was a little low, so i decided to clean the IAC, shot it with some carb spray put back on and now its hitting at 100-300 rpms down from about 700 before. I check around to make sure i didnt bump anything and everything seems good. This has got me stumped, it will start but drops right now about 200rpms and stays. anyone give me some insight on this?

Fixed my own problem lol, went to autozone because the CEL went off and got a IAVC code, changed it out and now it runs like a champ, only problem is there is two different ones, hopefully the morons gave me the right one..., on a lighter note, i learned a valuable lesson, If it aint broke, dont fix it.

Glad it's fixed. Thanks for the update.
