rc cars

had me a Revo for a while Rockin an F-350 body....

traded it straight up for a 9mm Kel-tec P11

Great hobby to get into but very expensive.
but if you're any good with an airbrush, you can make some wicked paint jobs

this thread just convinced me to break out my old gas powered RC car that me and my bro saved up for waaaay back in the day.....i've got too many hobbies

They used to make a ranger body(Parma)a few years ago, but unless you find one on evilbay or make one out of a toy truck(Nikko, Tonka, Ertl, etc)or make one yourself your out of luck. This is where I have been going a lot lately
http://www.rccrawler.com
There is a ton of information there and you can find just about anything you are looking for. This is what I have just completed and have been running...

Mine is a Axial AX10 with a HPI Bronco body. I had to make the interior(bend the brake line for the roll cage, tub from Walmart and sheet styrene). It has lockers at both ends and the mudslinger 2.2 tires, and a working winch. There is a ton of stuff out there so good luck and get to crawling if thats your thing.....:icon_thumby:
My scaler is nothing compared to what some of the people on rccrawler have done, but for my first attempt I think I did pretty good.

Working winch?!?!?! Awesome!

I got 2 HPI MT's, 1 MT2, 1 Traxxas T-MAXX 2.5, and one wheely king-undergoing a complete makeover for a rock crawler.

My old man builds the rc airplanes and boats from scratch, that gets too complicated for me.

Does anyone have the Traxxas Summit? I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger on this, despite the ridiculous price tag.

What do you wanna know? :)

Here are a couple of mine(you've already seen the Bronco)....

The big one is called a Clod Buster and I'm starting to convert it over to a crawler(super). I want to start going to some competitions with it. Lots of work involved though. Aluminum axle tubes and steering knuckles, better crawling motors, lockers, dig(lets you shut power off to the front or rear motors for tighter turns), new shocks and wheels with beadlocks and new tires and chassis. Like has been said it can be expensive(a little cheaper than 1.1 scale):icon_welder:

Nothing I won't find out for myself. I ordered it. :headbang:

You'll thoroughly dig it. It's an effin' awesome toy. :icon_thumby:

I put the Castle Monster 2200Kv brushless motor setup in mine (same one the uplevel E-Revo has) and on the fast end of things, it takes the excitement level up another 100% on top of what it already was :icon_twisted:. It nearly eliminates motor maintenance/replacement too (no brushes), and adds about 50% more runtime due to better efficiency. Only thing is you can't submerge it like with the stock ESC, but you should be able to still splash through puddles and run it in snow (I would never want to submerge my R/C anyway, all the maintenance implications it brings I don't wish to deal with (rusty bearings and water in the diffs/tranny primarily).

Nice pics there Bloodbane. I need to go out and get some pics of mine lol

I think I was about 10 last time I had a R/C car. Good God a lot has changed in the last 20 years! :shok:
As soon as you posted the Summit though, I knew I had to have it.
I'm a total noob, so I'm sure I'll have more questions about it once I get it.
