Rattling noise from pulleys.

I just replaced what I thought was a rattling weak belt tensioner, but to my dismay I think I'm hearing a noise from the crank pulley or water pump.
Question being: at 194,000 miles, which is more likely and if it is the crank bearing, how hard and involved is that repair? Thanks! Any advice or thoughts are appreciated.

Haha! Pumps and lube.....ummmmmm.
I digress. Thanks downer for the suggestion. I removed my belt and did some exploration turning what I could by hand when I felt around inside of the crank pulley. Oddly, there is a round metal spacer rattling around in there. I don't know why or how it got there, but my temporary solution was to stuff a rag in there until I can remove the pulley and remove it to quiet the rattle. I know that there is a torque to yield bolt in there. Not too hard to remove, but I think I'll wait until warmer days to see what's rolling around in there.
