rarity of an '88 5spd 4.9L Full Size Bronco?

Found one at a local dealership, says "Custom" on the fenders, they are deff factory badges.

Have yet to see a 5spd Bronco, let alone one with a 4.9L
the price is 1800 and it has 155k on it.

4x4 works good, and it was state owned before the dealer got it.

Body isn't perfect, but no rot.

anyone had one of these and have anything to say about 'em?

nothing rare about it. when i had a 300 of my own, i was in a local group of 300 enthusiasts, several of them had 5speed 4x4 broncos, half ton, and 3/4 ton pickups. since I've moved i still see them over here as well. We even have a regular customer that has one as a dd.

"Custom" is Fords way of saying plain jane, zero options, zero amenities.

If it runs and doesn't have holes rusted through it, I'd say the price seems pretty fair.

Yeah it's actually in realllly good shape. seems it has been garage kept it's whole life. and is undercoated i'm guessing by the original owner, or the state.

I guess this thing is just that then, a well kept base model bronco.

EVERYTHING on it, is manual. except steering i think.
the guy said the rear window is manual too, which i've never heard of.

Probably gonna have to pass on it for now. Dealer is a local buddy, so he said he can hang onto it for a bit.
