Rare mirrors 1st gen

Hey guys I’m looking for a particular set of mirrors for my truck. I’ve only seen one set in a junkyard before and few pictures online. Does anyone have any info? They look like these.

I’ve seen plenty of them with these flag or paddle type mirrors. They kinda flop around But these seem to be a solid mount and mirror itself is adjustable.

Those aren't factory mirrors. They are some sort of aftermarket mirror or maybe adapted from another vehicle, but have no clue where from.

That's Tee Rev's Ranger. He used to be active on the various Ranger boards, but I haven't seen much of him since RPS went down. If you come across where he hangs out now you might be able to ask him.

Ok just did a little google magic. They are adapted from a different vehicle. Here's the info from TeeRev himself.

The mirrors are from a ragtop Mustang/escort/lynx/tempo. They all used them.
The escort/lynx/tempo versions have a different bezel around the mirror that looks nicer.

Back in the day i took a set of mirrors that every one was putting on VW's and modified them to bolt on at the corner of the window like they do on the newer ones.

Hay i found the mirrors that i used and will buy another set. But i cut the boot off and made an oval plate and taped the aluminum shaft to do away the the 2nd ball joint and man did they work good.
