A 4wd diesel with dual tanks?

Id say about as rare of 1st gen youd find.

Not 10k rare...but rare

Diesel
Automatic
4wd
XLT
Fancy interior (full cloth door panels, deluxe contour seat and overhead clock/maplight.

'Tis a rare bird for sure. Would be fun to tun a Marti report for sure.

Usually diesels are base model 2wd's.

Ive seen a few 2wd XLT diesels....but i dont remember seeing a 4wd of any flavor ever.

Its a manual also. Did they even make diesels with an auto?

Ok, slightly less rare with a manual. I got all excited witb the 4wd shifter and never looked at the other one that close.

I hardly ever see them. Don't think I have ever seen an automatic.

It does have dual tanks though...which was rare even on gas trucks

Not near as rare as a diesel especially a diesel in a loaded XLT 4wd. It even has A/C. No cruise but we are so off the map I don't know if cruise was even available. It has a second battery which pushes the overflow/washer reservoir into where the cruise servo normally sits on a gas truck.

I might go see what I can dig up in my sales literature tonight if I get a chance.

I didn’t notice see the dual tanks at first. It’d definitely be a cool truck to buy if it wasn’t 10k.

They only made diesels with a manual.
Was gonna say, the main problem with these is if you need a clutch or transmission you're going to have problems because parts are unavailable and it's a different trans than gas Rangers have.
Saw one at the Ford Nationals two or three years ago that had factory A/C.
This year there was a guy with a diesel Bronco II. Said he bought a rusted out diesel Ranger with a good engine for $500 and transplanted everything into the BII that had a bad engine. Looked decent and I think he said he had less than $2000 in the whole thing.
