Go Rangers Go...

Since the Leafs are playing golf I've decided to cheer for the New York Rangers...they were my favourite team years ago when Jean Ratelle played with Rod Gilbert and Vic Hadfield...although I secretly hated them for beating the Leafs...lol

NY Rangers beat the NJ Devils......NY is leading the playoffs 2-1. Next game is on Monday-

I just noticed the game is over already...lol...thought it was tonight...ah, well, the TV tower is coming down soon enough...once hockey season is over...

The NJ Devils won.....Series is tied 2-2. Next game is May 23rd-

Game 5 on tonight...Go Rangers Go...

Saw it listed on one site that NJ was leading the series...wishful drinking?

NJ Devils won in OT.........And the conference series-

Yeah, dang...so...now it's the Angels vs Devils...guess I'm an LA fan now...lol

I guess I'll be cheering for the east coast hockey team....Go Devils-

LA is probably due for a cup...NJ won it just a few years ago IIRC...

My personal belief is that they intentionally spread it around to keep the fans coming and keep the owners happy...I don't think we will see another 2 or 3 year streak of Stanley Cup champs like the old days...too many teams and too much money at stake...

I could be wrong...look at Toronto...they haven't won a cup since I was watching them in black and white...yet the fans are filling the house pretty much every home game...

Anyone else surprised NJ has won the past 2? Been a real good series so far. We'll see if it keeps going in a few hours though. Being a former hockey goaltender, I've always loved Brodeur but I gotta be honest, Im pulling for the Kings. They are a fun exciting team to watch and it's about time they win.

I wasn't surprised they won two in a row...but I was disappointed in the blowout last night...not that I don't think LA should have won, but I'm sure Brodeur will retire this year and I'd hate to think that his memory will be tarnished by that score...and I doubt very much if we'd see NJ pull him in that game regardless of the score...he pulled them for a long time and was a really phenomenal goalie...

Quick, I hope, will not be a one series sensation...his style is awesome...but he reminds me of Felix Potvin who also had an amazing run in the playoffs but then either players figured him out or he lost track of what worked and what didn't...

I like Quicks stick to the ice strategy on behind the net scrimmages and he has amazing post to post speed as well as good upper body posture while moving...let's hope his back holds up and his ego stays low...

That major penalty took all the wind out their sales. They just couldnt come back from it. I think you're right about Brodeur retiring this year. His career was phenomenal so lets hope that is how he is remembered. He's a future member of the hall of fame hands down.

Quick really is fun to watch. He's so fast moving side to side and even is fast getting the high shots when he is down low.

Martin Brodeur wants to play another season w/ NJ Devils !! Not sure what the team's concerns are due to unrestricted free agency (also Zach Parise) & some players are due new contracts (Steve Bernier???)-
