Ranger won't run

I came back from a vacation and my '87 V-6 Ranger won't run. It starts (barely) and if I pump the pedal like crazy it barely runs but real rough. I put Stabil in the gas before I left and another half tank of fresh gas in since I've returned. So far I've changed the rear fuel pump (it was bad), the fuel filter and even the injectors. It has sufficient fuel pressure to the fuel rail. My mechanic put a test lead on the #1 injector (before I changed them) and said that the injector is getting pulse. Still I have to pump the pedal like crazy just to make it run rough. Not much difference. I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?

P.S. Does anyone know how I can pick up any possible responses?
