What would be a better mud truck, a jacked v8 ranger, or a jacked f150 with a 350 in it. Im think of buyin a truck to jack and tune up and start doin the mud bogs at the county fairs and was wondering what your opinions were and the best route to go. I love em both so its hard to decide lol

Straight Mud, no trails? Find anything with one ton axles and a big block, and run the biggest tires you can afford. Or if you really want to get crazy find a f-150 cheap, preferably 4x4 with a big block so you don't have to change too much, and run rockwells with tractor tires. If you're on a tight budget half ton (f-150) axles will work, but you might start breaking stuff with the right tires and motor. Rangers would work just as well but it takes a lot more work to get them there. And anything bigger than a 351 in a ranger is a pain.

Also find something with a solid front axle, just works a lot better. remember the key for mud is horsepower and tires, gotta spin big tires fast.
