as far as i know there is the normal ranger, the ranger XL the ranger XLT and the ranger eddie bauer, i have head that there is a lariat version too. i'm not sure how true this is but some insight would be helpful, thanks

Broken, and not broken. Just like anything else....

I don't recall an Eddie Bauer version of the Ranger, but I could be wrong. Never was a Lariat version of the Ranger.
Equipment and packages varied by year. Back in the day there was an "S" model which stood for "Strippo", mostly there have been XL, XLT, Sport, and Edge models. The Off-Road, FX4, and FX4 Level II were upgrade packages to the XLT. The Tremor was basically an Edge with a hi-zoot sound system.

the only time Ranger and Lariat came togeather were on the 80s an older F-Series.

The "normal" Ranger (I assume you mean base model?) IS an XL. There is no such thing as an Eddie Bauer or Lariat Ranger. There is XL, XLT, Splash, Edge, STX, Tremor, Sport, FX4, FX4 Level II, possibly forgetting 1 or 2.

there was a GT too

exbass94 posted all the Ranger trims the Ranger had

i think when he put eddie bauer he was thinking about a bii

The XLS was an option for the early Bll's. The full size Rangers had the EB and Lariat as mentioned and also some were called Explorers, might have been a local thing.
