at first it was only when cold. now it does it even at full temp and after driving for hours.
if i stomp on the gas it misses and backfires a bit.
i cant do a sudden take off because it bogs, or take off at low rpms.

I wanna say something to do with the timing not advanceing/disadvancing for you. I would check the cam and/or crankshaft position sensor on it. I have heard that they dont work right when cold and act better when warmed up and the opposite of that too or just not work right at all.

Thanks danger, i was told something similar. that the time could be off, sometimes it gets loose and could jump a teeth.

Check the coil packs make sure no cut wires to short out. Check all the other sensors make sure none are unplugged. Might even be an injectors sticking.

Ill check the coil pack wires.
I think a sensor going bad would trhow a code and get the CEL on.
Maybe the injectors.

the timing belt was replaced 3 years ago.
its like 30k miles old

OK, SAS update:
Im tearing apart my truck on saturday(hopefully, im crossing all my fingers)
and ill take the front susp to see how much i can get for it.
I Got a friend who a friend of his is selling an XJ, and is willing to sell me the complete front axle for 264usd. it has fairly new brakes and steering. ill take what i need, save the driveshafts and scrap the rest to get a bit of money back.

I expect to sell my stuff for at least half of what the axle costs.

BUT...i dont know where to look for the rest of the money ill need.
and seems like the xj owner will be taking it back to his property tomorrow.


Lets see if RSH can make it happen one more time.

one thing is for sure; after all the obstacles ive been going everytime i want to do something on this truck, ill never sell it!

IFS stuff waiting to get sold on monday to buy the parts axle.

This picture is responsible for my plans to take a new direction.

Messing around i tried a Ranger coil on the D30, and it fits like a glove.
so we did some quick measuring and realized that the coils need to move to the inside of the axle 2" to fit inside the Ranger built in coil buckets.

Instead of messing the frame, we will relocate the coil bases on the axle. and go coil sprung.
