Ranger Sport Honduras official build thread

Seems like the light duty isuzu trucks have a good driveshaft that can be modded to fit my truck.
It has bigger u joints than the toyota driveshafts, and seems like even bigger than the Ranger ones. and its steel, so i can get it shortened up.
ill start exploring that option

Research driveshafts to find what will be a little longer than what you need and shorten it. If you need that front shaft then let me know. It's not going anywhere.

I would say as long as it has the same ujoints then go from there. As said start with a longer drive shaft and get it shortened if need.

I can't find my front driveshaft... Idk what happened to it. And I'm not gonna have time for a junkyard run till who knows when. Got a lot going on right now. My dad says that shaft may be in another place. Will check there in the next couple days.

the isuzu one is pretty long.
could u try to cut the front one? so u send me just what i need. wich is the slip joke and the u joints. maybe 2 inches past that.
my cousin found a safe and cheaper way to send me the parts. so ill need em sent to him.
all i need is that the piece fits a shoe box.

it will end up using bigger u joints.
but thats not a big issue.

thanks Ben. dont worry ill find a way to make this work lol

Cut the ends off and put in a international flat rate box... Yeah that would be a lot cheaper.

send it on USPS to my cousin. his area code is:
South Carolina 29910

Seems like i found a Ranger 4wd rear driveshaft. steel one piece.
ill get confirmation tomorrow.
the guy is asking 70 usd for it. i might need to get it shortened, but thats not too expensive.

the isuzu driveshaft goes for 75, and i need to extend it, and take it to a shop so they make the flanges practically from 0, so they fit my current t case output and rear axle flanges. thats way too much.

i hope i can get good news on the ranger one tomorrow.

So you want me to cut up a perfectly good driveshaft? What's wrong with you. :thefinger:

Whats wrong with me is that i dont throw money everytime i sit on the toilet :thefinger:

Since he hasnt answered, i assume he cant help me, since hes been sick and all.
so quote the shipping to SC, and we will assume its the half of that if u cut it.
ill send u the shipping cost and the price we settled a while ago.

ill ask my cousin if he has a working pay pal. or u have a money gram close o u?

On a related note, since my truck has no headlights. and my moms truck cant be driven. i started searching why mine has no lights.
i came out to the conclusion the multi function switch was bad.

so there i went to get one, install it and no go...

checked the lights switch on the dash and bam :annoyed: thats the bad one.
i spent on the wrong switch, and they have a no refund/no back taking policy on electric parts.

i did a jumper on the switch and it wokrs that way, but thats not safe.

at least now i know i wont have to get a new multi function switch later down the road...
and i have a used one as a spare for any other of the trucks
